I’m getting Cubase 5 And an M-Audio Oxygen 49 V3 Midi Keyboard controller for making techno/dance music and I started to think that I might need a DJ Controller / Console thing for Professional sounding mixing.
Please can you tell me if this is necessary or a luxury?

It’s a “nice to have”, not a necessity. You can do everything from within Cubase and use a mastering VST when you are ready to mix down.
