Any suggestions on music software? Particularly, techno is something I’d like to start synthesizing for the sheer fun of it. Suggestions please! Thanks for the effort.

I’m getting Cubase 5 And an M-Audio Oxygen 49 V3 Midi Keyboard controller for making techno/dance music and I started to think that I might need a DJ Controller / Console thing for Professional sounding mixing.

Please can you tell me if this is necessary or a luxury?
